Following a rigorous assessment last month, Hundred Houses has been awarded the silver level in Investors in People.
Investors in People (IIP) is all about how organisations manage and lead their staff teams to achieve better standards and outcomes for the business. IIP is informed by one principle - good people make a great business.
The assessment highlighted the following strengths of the Society:

- Staff feel their contribution is valued and appreciated
- Staff feel that Hundred Houses is open and involve them in decision-making
- There are clear performance targets
- Staff take responsibility for identyfing suitable training to help them in their roles
- New staff feel welcomed and supported
- Staff are proud to work for Hundred Houses
- Managers communicate plans and priorities clearly and regularly
- Hundred Houses is a socially responsible organisation
- Managers are efficient and effective
- Everyone, without exception, says that Hundred Houses is a great place to work
There were also some improvements suggested that could help the Society rise to its future challenges, including:
- Embedding the Society's values more widely
- Involving other staff in shortlisting candidates for jobs, where appropriate
- Visually displaying targets in the office so they are constantly on view and act as reminders
- Reviewing staff resources more effectively when there are staff shortages
