Stock Condition Surveys - improving the information we hold about your homes
We are looking to improve the data we hold about the homes our tenants live in.
To help us understand our homes and the condition of them, we have appointed Michael Dyson Associates Ltd to complete a stock condition survey on about 35% of the homes we own.
What is a Stock Condition Survey (SCS) and what will it involve?
A stock condition survey is a visual inspection of the inside and outside of your home. It takes around 30 minutes to complete. You will need to be home in order for this survey to be carried out. A surveyor will look at and record the condition of parts of your home such as the kitchen, bathroom, windows, and doors. They will need access to every room and may take some photographs to support the survey.
If a surveyor does call at your home, they will have photographic ID they will show you and a letter of authority from HHS. If you have any concerns, please feel free to call the freephone number below to check they are who they say they are.
Do you have repairs that are required?
If you do have any repairs that are required at your home or that you have raised, please contact HHS directly on 01223 315036 to discuss these. Please note that if a surveyor from Michael Dyson Associates surveys your home, they will not arrange these repairs for you, so this must be done via the HHS call centre.
Do you need to do anything?
Michael Dyson Associates will send letters out to groups of homes that they may want to access. Please note, this doesn’t mean they will definitely want to survey your home though. When they are surveying in your area, they may knock on the door and ask for access to complete the survey.
If you do want to ensure your home is surveyed, you can also make an appointment at a date and time to suit you by contacting Michael Dyson Associates directly:
